About Alibaba eFounders Fellowship Program Asia:
Jack Ma, Alibaba Group’s founder and
Executive Chairman and UNCTAD Special Adviser committed to empower 1000 entrepreneurs
over the five years from the developing countries and this fellowship program
is part of that commitment made between the two giant organizations. The first
launch of this very program was put after the successful class of 24 African
participants who took part at the inaugural class. Yet, after its success, the
Asian batch was formed, which is then passed through huge scrutiny and hunting.
The selected candidates were from Pakistan, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand,
Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines. These selected then walked towards their 11
days journey of learning and enlightenment with full of adventure and excitement
along with tough pathways. At, the end of the program they became the
representatives for their respective countries and became an integral part of
providing learning and developing a base for the e-commerce business and
transformation.
About the Event:
Last week on Saturday 12th
May 2018, afternoon, four young entrepreneurs conducted a first meet up of Alibaba
eFounders Fellows - Pakistan (Karachi Meetup I), at the Aman CED, IBA main
campus here in Karachi, Pakistan.
These four young talented and
passionate learners shared their experience of their 11 days long journey of entrepreneurial
enlightenment with the people of Karachitties. They reach at this point, after passing
through tamed pathways and tight scrutiny by Pakistan Innovation Foundation in
collaboration with Ignite, entered to the China’s innovation hub, Alibaba
Campus, Hangzhou. They are Anum Kamran (Buyon.pk);
Furquan Kidwai (Dawaai.pk); Hamza Iftikhar (Dealsmash) and Komail Naqvi (FindMyAdventure). These four
youngsters were fortune enough to be graduated from Alibaba eFounders
Fellowship Program Asia Class 1. A program that is the joint initiative of the
UNCTAD and Alibaba Business School, their prime purpose is to share and taught
young entrepreneurs unlocking their true potential there by taking them to the
highs of digital world. These youngsters made a promise while leaving
Fellowship program that they will spread the knowledge with others and will not
keep by themselves only. And, they have made their promise by conducting this
small yet informative event within the smallest span of time.
