After Parwaz Hai Junoon, Shaz Khan’s Successful Trajectory takes him to Lamhay

After the release of Parwaz Hai Junoon this Eid Ul Adha, making 17.9 Million from the local box-office on an opening day, the film has managed to genuinely hook the audience with such a strong storyline and a star-cast. Shaz Khan who is known to be the most content-centric strong actor, who’s spell-binding acting skills and looks has charmed the audience, not just in Pakistan but worldwide.

From Shaz’s debut film Moor to his debut drama Yaqeen Ka Safar till PHJ, he has proven to be an actor who discovers the depth of the character and story before portraying it.

After recently playing a character of a Squadron Leader, Shaz will be seen as Hashir, who is a westerner and has an unpredictable volatile side. A non-resident Pakistani who comes back to Pakistan for his grandmother and now trying to figure out a drastic shift in his life and to get in touch with his roots. The drama will keep the audience glued with twists, turns, and conundrums, unfolding of the characters and the way the story is told.

The drama is directed by Amna Nawaz Khan under the banner of Momina Duraid Productions. Alongside Shaz, Zara Noor Abbas has also played a powerful character of Aleena who is the caretaker of Hashir's house. The first episode was critically praised by audience and reviewers.

Azaan Sami Khan’s Musical Debut with Parwaaz Hai Junoon

Karachi [29^th Aug – 2018]: Recently, Azaan Sami Khan’s latest photo shoot took the internet by storm, which was his first step towards the start of his successful journey. Son of legendary names, Zeba Bakhtiar and Adnan Sami Khan, Azaan marked the start of his musical career with Parwaaz Hai Junoon.

The most anticipated film of 2018, Parwaaz Hai Junoon is a eulogy to Pakistan’s Air Force, but also a platform for Pakistani filmmakers to show their creativity.  The music for the film was composed by Azaan Sami Khan, which has already made it to the top playlists of everyone across the globe. Thaam Lo - composed by Azaan and sung by Atif Aslam is not only melodious but a genuine depiction of the new era for Pakistan’s music industry.

Sohail has directed a fun-filled music video with superstars like Humayun Saeed, Fahad Mustafa, Ahmed Ali Butt, Omer Shahzad, Arif Lohar, Sarwat Gillani, Mawra Hocane, Kubra Khan and Uzma Khan.

According to Sohail Javed:

‘It was an amazing experience working with the team and making this video. Working on a project like this, made me feel as if I am breathing again. I was approached by Humayun Saeed for JPNA’s title video as well, but due to prior commitments, we could not work out the dates. However, when Humayun, being a very dear friend, approached me once again for JPNA 2’s title video, I knew I had to work around my schedule and make this happen for him. The moment I heard the song, I fell in love with it. I knew from the get-go that this would be a megahit.’

Sohail Javed with the release of this video has proven his prowess as an ‘Ace Director.’ After this project, Sohail is currently working on the second season of his digital show ‘Meet Up” and rumor has it that a film is also in the pipeline.

Inspire Her; An SWOP Event

Karachi, 4th August 2018:  SuperWomen of Pakistan is an all-women Facebook group with over 30,000 strong and motivated Pakistani women. SWOP hosted an inspirational event ‘Inspire Her’ on Saturday at the Regent Plaza Hotel, Karachi. The initiative of honoring women entrepreneurs was taken by Nida S. Fahad; founder of the Facebook community SWOP to celebrate women empowerment and their entrepreneurial skills. 

More than 200 women attended the event from every walk of life to learn, connect and be inspired by the guest speakers, who shared their journey from being a regular person to an entrepreneur. The event was divided into three major segments; Inspire, Conquer, and Rise. In which guests spoke about how to break barriers to realize true potential, the emotional dependability of an entrepreneur and being a self-made woman and how to kick-start an entrepreneurial journey. 

Talk 1 was led by the Head Patisserie Chef of Marcel’s, Niha Akbar and NageenMarfani – Founder Vogue Amour/Blogger. They talked about breaking barriers and realizing the true potential to achieving goals and fulfilling ones dreams. Talk 2 was led by AseelaJaliawala – Motivational Speaker/Trainer and VarahMusavvir – Founder Firefly. They spoke about the emotional dependability of an entrepreneur and being self-made women. A special segment was dedicated to Pakistan’s Drama and Film industry’s finest, SarwatGillani who shared her journey from being a regular woman to a star. While inspiring all the attendees she said, ‘Support and love yourself.’ Talk 3 was about how to start a business or an entrepreneurial journey, led by HumairaAnwaar – Development Strategist, Tech Pakistan, and Tehreem Pasha – Islamic Calligraphy Artist who gave insights of her line of work.

A special brief session was hosted by PhebyHaroon; co-partner of pH Solutions, ‘Inspiring To Be The Best Version Of You’ with three ambitious, strong and successful women of Pakistan. Sofia Bilgrami – CEO Stois, Maliha Rao – Founder Whimsy Beauty and the Chief Guest of the event, Nausheen Shah who shared her success story as well as motivated the audience by saying, ‘Be passionate about what you do, empower yourself, and be the best version of yourself regardless of the day-to-day struggles we all have to face’. All three women shared their inspirational journey and the hardships they faced along with the motivation that kept them moving forward to achieving their goals.

A small quick cooking session and poetry performance by Sarah Tanveer and Zehra Khan was also arranged to lighten the mood of the audience. Certificates and giveaways were distributed among the participants of the event.

2nd Parvez Abbasi Open Shooting Championship 2018

The 2^ndParvez Abbasi Open Shooting Championship will begin from 7-12^h August 2018 at the Pakistan Navy’s shooting range at PNS Karsaz, in Karachi.

This event is going to be one of its kind in Pakistan’s shooting calendar, since the tournament is opened for everyone including general public along with the teams representing Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Police and other law enforcement agencies.

For about above 400 shooters will compete in the event in various categories that includes; Air Pistol, Skeet and Trap during the 6-day tournament. This event is dedicated to tribute and celebrates the journey of life and the achievements of Parvez Abbasi, who is also the founding secretary of the National Rifle Association. He is said to be the driving force behind promotion of shooting sports in Pakistan.

During the entire championship, the series of events will be carried out according the written rules of the International Shooting Sport Federation, governing body of the Olympic Shooting events in Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun categories. Speaking at a press conference, Commodore Ghazanfar Abbas, Director of the Parvez Abbasi Open Shooting Championship, said, 

“Parvez Abbasi Open Shooting Championship is a vital addition to the sport’s annual calendar in Pakistan. This is a great chance for budding shooters of the country, from whatever background, to compete and further hone their skills. We are delighted to be honouring Parvez Abbasi’s legacy in this way”.

Commodore Ghazanfar Abbas further said in his appreciation to the Abbasi family, especially Mrs.Askara Abbasi, wife of late Parvez Abbasi fostering the event and giving another opportunity to sports enthusiasts to compete in a ranking event.

Mrs.Askara Abbasi will be the chief guest for the closing ceremony scheduled to be held on August 12th, 2018.

Brief about Parvez Abbasi (Late)

Parvez Abbasi was the Founder Secretary General of the Sindh Rifle Association during 1962 to 1976. Later, he was elected as the Executive Vice President post, where he served the nation till his last breath. Before, electing as the Executive Vice President in 1998, he also served his services as the Secretary General of the National Rifle Association of Pakistan from 1972 till 1998.

Parvez Abbasi sportsmanship and activeness enabled him to hold the national record in the Rapid Fire Pistol for 30 years in his name. The legend has also won 12 National Medals in different Pistol events. He had also represent Pakistan as a player and Captain of the National team in the Asian Games in Tehran. Parvez Abbasi the great man has represented Pakistan on numerous occasions and events at International level including: Commonwealth Games/ Asian Games /Olympic Games /SAAF Games (as Judge /manager/ Captain /Player/Secretary General SAAF Shooting Association). It’s an honor for us that Parvez Abbasi effeorts that Pakistan in the year 2000, qualified for the first time for the Olympics. He also served as the jury member for shooting at the Olympics in Greece in 2004. Parvez Abbasi passed away on the July 25, 2006 following a four year battle with cancer.

PTCL ACHIEVES ISO CERTIFICATIONS FOR CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES SECURITY

Karachi, 21^st June, 2018: PTCL has become the country’s first telecom operator to achieve two ISO certifications in parallel for its cloud services ‘Infrastructure-as-a-Service’ (IaaS) offering.  These are ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27017:2015.

The International Standards Organization (ISO) and International Electro technical Commission (IEC) are the authorities for these standards. The ISO 27017 is a Cloud security-specific standard, while ISO/IEC 27000 is a family of standards that helps organizations keep information assets secure.

PTCL ORGANIZED NATIONWIDE IFTAARS FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED ACROSS PAKISTAN - Ramzan Mehman with PTCL Razakaars

KARACHI – 12^th June, 2018: PTCL’s in-house volunteer force PTCL Razakaar hosted community Iftaars nationwide, whereby spreads were laid out for people at mosques, hospitals, old age homes and labour communities. The company was able to reach out to approximately 13000 beneficiaries across the nation.

PTCL catered to fasting communities in far flung areas such as Sorange in Balochistan, GhallaMandi in Punjab, Tharparkar in Sindh and DI Khan in KPK as well as travelers and less privileged people in the heart of cities such as the Clock Tower of Faisalabad.

PTCL Razakaars were able to spread smiles across people tending to their ailing family members at The Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, DHQ and Lady Hospital in DI Khan, Civil Hospital Gujranwala, DHQ Hospital Khanewal, Nishtar Hospital Multan and the Civil Hospital Larkana. Community members of Rawalpindi and Islamabad were reached out through distribution of lunchboxes by our mobile vans. Razakaars made the effort to personally reach out to the most deserving persons hence living up to the true spirit of the month and the RamzanMehman Drive.

The largest Iftaar meal was laid out at the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad where 1000 visitors were treated and served by the company’s volunteers. Iftaars were also hosted at the Jamia Masjid Larkana, Gujrat and Abbottabad. This is the second year of the PTCL Razakaar program. Approximately 600 volunteers registered under the drive are regularly engaged in community service initiatives each quarter.

President & CEO PTCL Dr. Daniel Ritz appreciated the efforts of the PTCL Razakaar force saying it was commendable how we managed to reach out to people truly in need, even in most remote areas, across the country. Blog Coverage- Ishq Ramazan Highlights Day 5

I was glad to be Invited for the blog coverage for Ishq Ramzan Transmission by TvOne. One of the pioneer in serving the best programs whether its related to religious, cultural, entertainment or from any other walk of life. It was my first experience to cover any event at large live on such a huge level. The host of the show is none other than, the very talented Sahir Lodhi, who doesn't need any introduction. He is the simple, down to earth and holds so much empathy towards mankind, that I came to know after meeting him in person. May be there are many people, who might don't disagree to me but, what I have seen and felt I have much respect for him. It's far easy to criticize someone, yet its far difficult to praise and search for what that person has done good for many others. As, sat down for a round table meeting, we were shocked to hear, when he gave us some of the harsh reality checks about the society.

His words, aap ko kya pata ek bike say kitnay log ek ghar may faida uthatay ha. Aap ko kya pata us ek bike say, pura ek ghar chalta" and so on...

Sehar Transmission

Prominent religious scholar and host of the Isha Ramzan Transmission Shabbir Abu Talib had welcomed the audience by spreading meaningful and intellectual knowledge of Islam. He then introduced some of the special guests that were presented at the Fifth Sehar Transmission on the sets of Ishq Ramazan.

Mufti Muhammad Shahid Madni recited a few verses from Quran and enlightened the audience with the abundant knowledge of Quran. Moving on in the transmission, Dr Farooq Sattar presence enticed the Ishq Ramazan Sehri transmission and shared their vast cultured thoughts on various areas.

Rohani Guldashtah Segment

Dr Syed Ashraf Jilani had described the significance of Quranic verses and their positive effect on one's life. He also presented Wazifa to be protected from the evil eye. Lastly, Ishq Ramzan sehar transmission was graced by the the Zulfiqar Hussaini and renown reciter, Yousuf Memon, who were called by Shabbir Abu Talib to shower the flowers of adoration in respect of Prophet PBUH. The Sehar Transmission was concluded by performing Namaz-e-Fajar, which was performed by Faseeh -Uddin-Shoarwardi on request by Shabbir.

Iftar transmission

Dr. Mehmood Madni recited few verses from Quran in his soulful voice to being the Fifth Iftar transmission of Ishq Ramazan.  The most loved host Sahir Lodhi warmly welcomed the audience in the fifth Iftar transmission by sharing a small thought for the day. Sahir who is known for his intellect intelligence and who also promised in delivering a new message, a new resolution and determination to compel the procedures of the Holy Month of Ramazan. With this, Sahir introduced the panelists, experts and Naat Khwans for the day, a central part of the TvOne Ishq Ramazan transmission. 

Kitchen segment

Chef Warda prepared Chicken Koila Karhai, and at the Jam-e-Shreen kitchen Chef, Ehtesham prepared delicious Red Queen Mocktail. 

Remedy segment

Farah presented the remedy for suntan and skin tightening pack. Hakim Shah Nazeer presented the miracle weight loss pack through which viewers can lose up to 4 kgs in 24 days. Moving ahead in the transmission, the twin brothers Shami & Kami along with Aqsa and other respectable reciters, recited the most popular Naat Kalam Tala-al-badru alayna in their heartfelt voice.

Debate segment

Sahir Lodhi deliberately welcomed the youngest debater in the Ishq Ramazan transmission. Sahir began with Andaz-e-Bayan segment with an intriguing topic and welcomed four contestants from yesterday’s transmission for yet another chance to showcase their talent. Furthermore, two out four contestants proceed to the next level in the competition.

Before the break young NaatKhwans panel presented Qaseeda Burda Shareef along with Asr Azan by Faseeh-Uddin- Soharwardi.

Quiz Competition

Right after the break, Sahir introduced the first set of quizzes in the quiz competition.  Competition heat is on now, still it's just the fifth day of the ongoing competitions and we have a month to set the winners.

As we moved on, within the transmission, the Reciter Hasan Bin Khursheed presented a heartfelt Kalam in Ishq Ramazan Iftar transmission leaving the audience teary-eyed. Jamsheed Sabri Brothers presented a spellbinding Kalam

Ulemas and NaatKhwans were welcomed by Sahir Lodhi perform 5th Roza Iftar together with a message of peace and harmony at the end of the fifth Iftar transmission.
